Absolutely worth the visit!
Make sure to book a tour with a (English speaking) guide, instead of going on your own. The amount of info that is told is great.
Quite the exercise and takes about 3,5-4 hours. Make sure to bring enough water.
They say that you can bring your dog. We brought our wiener dog which we can carry if needed. Not sure if the steep stairs are doable for bigger dogs.
Great place to visit and enjoy a quiet time near the lake. There are remaining of the old castle that can be visited and photographed. If you like photography you should go there.
The scenery is beautiful and calm.
Great historical site. Even though there was only a Italian tour available,the guide gave us some information in English.

Very nice place to visit in Anfo. This very old fort has 2 histories. The Venice and the Napoleon time. It’s a 3 hour tour with a guide. We did it with a group of children in the range of 7-11 years. Make sure you have enough water and fruit when you visit it at a very warm day.
Amazing experience exploring this massive historic fortification. Tour guides were amazingly well informed and friendly. Would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area. (Don’t be put off by the 4 hour tour length, there were plenty of breaks and went very quickly)

Nice place to visit with a lot history! A lot of climbing stairs but it was worth it!
I'm happy I got into the guided tour just by luck, with no reservations. I'd advise you to plan beforehand if you plan to visit. I had the impression from Google Maps pictures that Rocca was just some ruins by the lake that I could explore …
Beautiful fort with a great view from the base and especially from the top. You can get a guided tour in the summer months at the tourist information office in Idro.
The tour of the place was pretty cool! There was a lot of interesting history to it.
